Terms of use

SurveySorted explains the wording of a RICS Home Survey (or similar) that you upload. We are not RICS, not your surveyor, not a valuer, not a solicitor, and not a lender.

No advice

Nothing on this service is legal, financial, valuation, or structural engineering advice. Costs are indicative UK ranges; get quotes before relying on them. We do not say what a property is worth. Decisions to proceed, renegotiate or walk away are yours, with your surveyor and conveyancer.

Quotes

Asking for quotes is optional. We only pass contact details when you tick a box that names the type of firm. We do not send the survey file with that request, and we do not sell a general data list. A firm may pay us a referral fee if you later instruct them. That fee is not added to their quote. Placeholder prices for a surveyor call or a home file subscription are not a charge: no payment provider is connected. Mortgage and insurance introductions, if they are ever switched on, will only be through an FCA-authorised firm.

Your report

You must only upload a report you are entitled to use. You confirm the extract before relying on an explanation. If we could not read a section, that gap is not a clean bill of health.

Fair claims

We will not describe ourselves as cheapest, best, or number one without dated evidence. Reviews, when they exist, will be from completed jobs only.

Liability

We are responsible for providing the service with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the original survey, for defects at the property, or for losses that come from treating our explanation as a substitute for professional advice. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
